INDeX CT Integrator
Overview
INDeX CT Integrator is the Computer Telephony Integration (CTI)
middleware product for INDeX. It provides a wide range of extremely
powerful interfaces, making it very easy for the software developer,
application programmer or systems integrator to use. The product is
available either as a Software Development Kit (SDK) for software
developers, or as a run-time version. The run-time version of INDeX CT
Integrator provides all of the functionality as the SDK, but does not
include the developer documentation or sample source code
Specification
• Client/Server architecture, using TCP/IP or IPX network protocol
• Requires Windows NT 4.0 or 2000 for the server
• Clients may be Windows 95, 98, NT 4 or 2000 (including thin-
client architectures)
• Supports the following interfaces:
• Microsoft TAPI
• ActiveX Control
• 'C' DLL interface
• Microsoft COM/C++ interface
• Optional ECMA CSTA-1 interface, also certified by IBM for use
with their CallPath interface
Features/Benefits
Rather than just provide a dumb connection to the telephony system,
INDeX CT Integrator delivers a number of easy-to-use, standard
interfaces, including Microsoft TAPI, an ActiveX control, and ECMA
CSTA-1. In addition, the networking infrastructure required to route CTI
information across the LAN is provided with the product. The interfaces
that CT Integrator provides give full information and control over the
INDeX, enabling software developers to implement a very wide range of
applications, such as screen-popping, predictive diallers, call
recorders, call loggers and intelligent routers, as well as specialist
applications for a wide variety of industries. Indeed, many of Avaya's
own products use technology from CT Integrator to connect with the INDeX.
