Avaya INDeX IP
INDeX
IP has been designed not only to enable IP functionality, harnessing the
technology to provide a total, integrated communications solution, it
also offers other business benefits which lead to improving
productivity.
In recognition that an increasing amount of customers are looking for
more flexible methods of working, INDeX IP addresses the challenge of
home working and telecommuting by making location independent working
its main focus.
INDeX IP provides flexibility in the location of a range of workers,
from small call centre groups and very small branch offices, to
individual agents and home workers. It also provides a number of new
facilities which now make working on the move a real possibility for
INDeX customers. Supporting changes have also been made within CCM v3.1
and IVM v1.5, and in addition, there are enhancements to the system and
terminal features brought about from suggestions from both our channel
partners and our customers. Lastly, we have sought feedback on INDeX
maintainability via our quarterly technical forums and, wherever
possible, have implemented these suggestions.
The key areas of this software level are:
• Call centre enhancements
• Improving contact and mobility
Other supporting features included are:
• Display Terminal feature enhancements
• Improved maintenance and administration
• New data enhancements in IPNC 3.2
Note: INDeX IP will only run on the CPU X processor.
Call Centre enhancements
• Distributed Call Centre – allows call centres to adopt a flexible
approach to staffing, with agents located both in the office and
at
home.
• Zone plans – allow incoming calls to be routed dependant upon
the
originator’s CLI.
• Selective Group Access – gives call centres the flexibility to
move
agents between groups to temporarily cover busy periods
across multiple
campaigns.
Improving
contact and mobility
• Personal Numbering – offers
users a single telephone number
upon which
they may always be
contacted, irrespective of where
they are or what
phone they are
using.
• Off site call control – allows off-site workers to use simple DTMF
tones to transfer calls back to an INDeX extension or operator.
When
combined with Personal Numbering, the advantages of
this facility
include a single-reach office number, no requirement
for a digital set
in the office and a single voice message box.
• Dial In conference – allows conference parties to dial into
INDeX’s
conference bridge.
Display Terminal feature enhancements
• Enhanced divert facility for digital display terminals
• Selectable soft keys
• Differentiated Group ringing and BLF indication of ‘busy’
• CLI handling for calls routed off switch
Improved maintenance and administration
• Class of Service control for Call Divert
• Real Time Line Status
• Administration change enhancement
• Database verification
• Auto-change of DPNSS x/y priority
• CPU X ping
New Features in IPNC 3.1
