Hipath 3000 - End Points

More than just a telephone

Terminals that can go beyond the normal capabilities of simply establishing a connection are a must-have for those who regularly make business calls. This is why intelligent workpoints such as Siemens optiPoint Portfolio are the ideal supplements to an HiPath 3000 real-time IP system, as they accentuate its features and bring them to the fore. They cover a wide spectrum of requirements and support companies working towards voice/data migration. From digital telephones, IP telephones and adapters through to software solutions that enable phone calls to be made from the PC, the optiPoint family has everything that intelligent clients should offer towards the communication of today.

Digital telephones

The optiPoint 500 family has digital telephones to suit everyone’s needs, ranging from cost-effective starter models to High End terminals. optiPoint 500 entry opens the doors of the digital world of telephony and with only eight function keys, you can get to work straight away. optiPoint 500 economy has an additional easy-to-read display and a total of twelve function keys. optiPoint 500 basic is equipped with an additional USB interface and optiPoint 500 standard also boasts a full duplex speakerphone for optimum voice quality. With optiPoint 500 advance, you will experience the best of telephony features including 19 function keys, an illuminated display and a headset connection.

optiPoint 500 family accessories include add-on devices (key modules) and headsets as well as loudspeakers and microphones.

Convergence Client for IP and TDM

optiPoint 600 office is the right tool to use in converging networks. Our prize model is at home in the world of line switching (TDM) and packet switching (IP). The large graphic-enabled touch screen display is the user interface from which the numerous functions are activated. Whether you just want to retrieve data from the Web or access your personal phone book, you will always find superlatively user-friendly menus. Working with optiPoint 600 is a genuine pleasure, as optiGuide has only three dialog keys for interactive menu prompting as well as twelve function keys, which can be set at the user’s discretion. An integrated mini-switch, a WAP browser, the speakerphone and the headset connection ensure added telephony comfort for those who regularly telephone.

IP telephones

With the optiPoint 400 family clients, all HiPath 3000 communication features can be used via IP networks. They receive their power supply via the LAN (Power over LAN) and can always be upgraded by simply downloading the software. optiPoint 400 economy is the reasonably priced entry-level telephone, which can be seamlessly integrated into an existing data infrastructure. optiPoint 400 standard also has a hands-free function and an integrated 10/100 Mbit/s mini-switch. The PC can be connected to the LAN directly via the mini-switch integrated in optiPoint 400 standard.

Soft Client for communication via PC

A workstation without a telephone? This is not a problem for optiClient 130. With this software, the PC becomes the telephone. Wherever you are, be it in transit with the laptop or on-site at your workstation, you have a choice of various interfaces. optiClient 130 office provides the communication features in the familiar Windows look & feel. The innovative optiClient 130 easyCom user interface brings people into the centre of the communication circle. Communication is child’s play using the drag and drop method. For example, you can set up a telephone conference with several participants in a matter of seconds by simply dragging them into the communication circle on the PC interface. Holding and toggling between two calls are also a piece of cake, as the communication circle provides an overview of the current communication partners. For those who may miss the sight of the telephone, the optiClient 130 phone provides a virtual, digital telephone on the PC. With one click of the mouse, you can activate the functions that would be provided by buttons on a tabletop unit.  Equipped with a headset or the optiPoint Handset, which can simply be connected to the USB port and used as a telephone receiver, the PC becomes your communication centre.

Cordless communication

Are you rarely at your workstation and usually moving around the company? With the Siemens Gigaset 4000 enhanced and micro handsets – combined with the HiPath Cordless Office DECT solution – you can use the features of HiPath 3000 without a cord connection. And Gigaset active M is ideal for heavy-duty operation. Gigaset active M is designed so that it won’t break down if it falls out of a pocket on to the pavement or gets a few accidental splashes. It can also still be used in the event of a power failure throughout the building when everything is in the dark, or where it is too noisy to hear your own voice. But it’s not just its robustness and functionality which sets Gigaset active M apart: its housing does not contain any silicone because if it were being used in a paint shop for example, some of it might get into the paint and have devastating effects on the finished result.
