Avaya TransTalk Overview


The Avaya TransTalk® 9000 Digital Wireless System is a single or dual zone, in-building wireless system that delivers the quality, features and flexibility to make wireless communications essential for your day-to-day business operations.

The TransTalk 9000 Digital Wireless System - the TransTalk 9040 handset paired with the new Dual Radio Module - is much more than just a desk set or cell phone for the office. The TransTalk system is truly business-ready, giving you the same comprehensive features and functionality as your desk phone- without the cords. You can put calls on hold, see incoming caller ID and Message Waiting notification, set up conference calls, check messages - all while you are away from your desk. With the four-line backlit display and caller ID information on the wireless handset, you can set priorities and handle calls more effectively. You can roam your business premises and bring your communications capabilities with you. Because all calls route through your communications system, an additional charge for using the public cellular network is a thing of the past. By attaching a headset to your TransTalk wireless handset, you can enjoy hands-free mobility.

Large facilities such as warehouses or large equipment supply yards—even locations that are notorious for poor reception, such as distribution centres - can be cost-effectively covered. With the TransTalk solution, you have the flexibility to divide your coverage area into two zones, allowing for crystal clear voice quality at distances up to 900 feet. Additional antennae can be strategically placed to improve coverage in large outdoor areas. An outdoor enclosure is also available, allowing you to mount up to two Dual Radio Modules (DRM) per Outdoor Box outside your building for extended coverage. The result is an on-premises wireless solution that is simple, powerful and economical.

As your business grows, your TransTalk Digital Wireless system - compatible with a wide range of solutions from Avaya - will grow with you. You can have up to 18 TransTalk 9040 wireless handsets on the PARTNER® Advanced Communications System and Classic MERLIN systems, and up to 30 TransTalk handsets with MERLIN MAGIX® Integrated System, IP Office and DEFINITY® Systems. It also integrates seamlessly with Avaya™ IP600 Internet Protocol Communications Servers and the rest of the ECLIPS portfolio running Avaya MultiVantage™ Software
